Title : Roam with a view
As lonely as a poet,
I wandered down the rocky path.
Espies from afar a reddish bird,
And ducklings in a bath.
Strolled into the breathing forest,
Greeted by an anarchy of solemn trees.
Fauna spoke in mysterious syllables,
My face was invigorated by the murderous breeze.
Winds lashed their limbs together,
Creating a flute-like serenade.
White linen in the sky are sober,
Floating in a parade.
Came closer to a mere lone lake,
A ‘ V ‘ of white swans move in a delicate gait.
Blue daffodils in rows of eight,
And a doe parades to her solitary mate.
Fields of hunter green,
Colorful flowers in a circle.
A gazebo sat in a corner abandoned and serene,
Butterflies in a swirl.
Wild daisies and calla erected along the sandy track,
Which ran towards the meadow.
Ants walked to the nearby shack,
Food on their shoulders everyday, i was cajoled.
Tangerine sunset came into the picture,
As seen through thick lush arcades.
Night began to unfurl,
Vitreous moon pregnant sky creates.
Light hid behind the blanket of nightfall,
Peace removed its disguise.
Silence in thrall,
Indeed a paradise.
Visage of nightfall,
A beauty entranced.
Incandescent stars tottered with vertigo on obsidian wall,
A celestial romance.
The lake sleeps in a poise,
As the moon hugs the shore.
Fishes swim and fire-flies don’t make a single noise,
Ripples of scant arabesque bore.
I laid down on the grassy bed,
Made up of green patches, dusts and soils.
Nature’s always a memory in my head,
And it will bring much joys.
